How the Ritual Works
Underneath all that fur is thin, delicate skin — your dog's first line of defense. The stratum corneum forms the major protective barrier between the body and the environment. Nutrients and lipids are essential for healthy barrier protection; many canine dermatitis disorders arise when that barrier stops functioning properly.
Ten minutes, start to finish. The same tub, the same ten minutes. What changes is what goes in it — and what the skin gets back out.
Wash first — but only if the dog needs it
A genuinely dirty dog should be washed before the treatment, so the ingredients have clean skin to work on. Otherwise, go straight to the mud.
Mobility Mud is different.
Keep it away from the muzzle and genital area, and never wrap a dog in it. It is a cooling mud — the heat comes afterwards, from the dog's own circulation once it is rinsed off.
Same tub. Same ten minutes.
